28th September 2007
The band introduced their new fifth member on the 28th September - Keith (The Beef) Hatton. He took up his duties on rhythm guitar and added that extra "beefy" layer that the band have wanted to add for a long time. He really did do the band credit after putting in many hours over the last month or two to learn the set. Well done Keith! And thanks to Kaylum for his technical wizardry as sound engineer. Everybody agreed that the the music was loud, the sound quality was awesome.
It felt like a new beginning for the band with new original songs, new covers, a new member and new equipment (provided for by Music Bros of course). The band set the night off with the classic All Fall Down and then ploughed through a repertoire that was studded with Hi Octane fuelled classics such as Breed, Bullet In The Head, I'm A Believer (their own speed version) and the bands mighty anthems, Driven, Sullenbode, Thunder Bay and Deeper Still.
The band performed two new songs of their own, Sea Of Titan and Peasant Wedding. Both songs went down a treat especially Sea Of Titan that got people up on the floor and shaking their bits. Both of these songs will be recorded before the next gig which will hopefully be around Halloween (keep a check on this site).
The band are playing The Haygate on New Years Eve and there are a limited number of tickets for this gig, only 170. If you want to secure a ticket (they are only a fiver each) then best to contact the venue or Music Bros and get one quickly before they sell out. It should be one hell of a party that night!
Thanks to all that turned up last Friday - old faces and new. It was great to see so many folk letting their hair down and enjoying the music - if only every gig could be like that :)
See you soon - pictures to follow...
